Time To Freshen Up Your Website For The New Year!
Nick James
Printer-Friendly Format

While it may seem that 2008 just arrived, (it's still New Years  Day as I write this...) anything on your web site with a 2007 date can already appear outdated.

That's why you'll want to make sure dates appearing on your site are current. For example, if you display copyright dates, make sure they are current (change to 2008).

Same is true with articles containing dates. For example, the phrase 'New for 2007' already sounds outdated - while 'New for 2008' sounds fresh.

Change these date references in articles, sales pages, press releases - in fact everywhere appropriate.

And finally, make sure the selection list of credit card expire dates in your order forms reflects the new year. Remove 2007 from the list, and make sure your list has options for 2008 through 2019.

These small changes can freshen the look of your entire site - and keep your site from becoming stale.
