It Still Felt Like Christmas This Week

Last Friday was a pretty exciting day for me. I received the first 1000 replicated copies of my latest DVD, "The Secrets of Licensing". And as a product developer, opening the first shipment of your completed product is almost like Christmas.

But then as you look at the stacks and stacks of ready-to-ship products, you realise, "Now that we have them in stock, we've got to sell them".

And that begins another important phase of product development -- MARKETING -- which actually started when you decided what the product would be in the first place.

See, the format and focus of the products you choose to develop pretty much dictates who your customers will be, what they're willing to pay, and how difficult it will be to reach them.

For that reason, consider your MARKETING before you actually choose a product to develop. That way, what started out as a box of Christmas cheer won't turn into a pile of garage sale goods.
