Did you know that 20% of the WHOLE WORLD is now using the Internet?

Internet World Stats has released their figures for 2007. Based on the 1,319,873,109 estimated persons using the Internet as of the 31st December 2007, they have concluded that 20% of the entire population of the planet now has access to the Internet.

The 2007 fourth quarter figures confirm that global Internet growth since December 2000 has been 265.6% which is no small feat! Internet growth in the period between 2000 and 2007 has "ramped up" in less adopted areas of the world. (Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia) and has slowed in more Web adopted areas. (Europe, Oceania / Australia and North America)

This is GREAT NEWS for market expansion... and a very good reason to start adding language support to your tech support or translations of your products to other languages.
