Time To Freshen Up Your Website For The New Year!
Nick James
While it may seem that 2010 just arrived, (it's still New Years Day as I write this...) anything on your web site with a 2009 date can already appear outdated.
That's why you'll want to make sure dates appearing on your site are current. For example, if you display copyright dates, make sure they are current (change to 2010).
Same is true with articles containing dates. For example, the phrase 'New for 2009' already sounds outdated - while 'New for 2010' sounds fresh.
Change these date references in articles, sales pages, press releases - in fact everywhere appropriate.
And finally, make sure the selection list of credit card expire dates in your order forms reflects the new year. Remove 2009 from the list, and make sure your list has options for 2010 through 2021.
These small changes can freshen the look of your entire site - and keep your site from becoming stale.
